Curriculum
Academics Built on a Biblical Foundation
At Heritage Christian School, learning is more than academic achievement—it’s a discipleship journey. Our curriculum is thoughtfully selected to help students grow in both knowledge and Christlike character. We believe that education should not only prepare students for tests, careers, or college—but ultimately for a life of purpose, service, and truth.
Our Philosophy of Learning
We believe in:
Christ-centered education that places God’s Word at the heart of every subject
Biblically sound curriculum choices that equip students with both truth and skills
Individualized instruction that allows each student to grow at their own pace while meeting rigorous academic goals
Our teachers are not just educators—they’re mentors and spiritual guides who walk with students as they grow academically and spiritually.
Curriculum by Level
We include:
- Core academics (English, math, science, history)
- ACT preparation
- Electives based on interest and aptitude
- Credit tracking for graduation
- Opportunities for dual enrollment with Gillette College
Pre-K – 6th Grade
We use the Abeka curriculum, known for its strong foundation in reading, math, history, science, and grammar—all taught from a Biblical worldview.
Abeka’s spiral learning method ensures that students revisit concepts throughout the year to strengthen retention and mastery.
In these formative years, we also emphasize phonics, handwriting, memorization, and the development of godly character.
7th – 12th Grade
Our upper grades operate on an individualized track for each student. This allows us to:
- Adapt curriculum to fit the student’s needs and strengths
- Flexibly teach homeschool-style with full school support
- Prepare students for college, career, or calling
Beyond the Classroom
Faith and personal growth are integrated into the student experience at every level.
