Pre-K - 4 & 5 Year Olds
Laying a Foundation for Faith and Learning
The early years matter. At Heritage Christian School, our Pre-K program is designed to help children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. Through hands-on activities, structured routines, and biblical teaching, we help each child build confidence, character, and a love for Jesus.
A Typical Day in Pre-K
Children in our 4- and 5-year-old classrooms enjoy:
- Circle time with songs, Bible stories, and prayer
- Hands-on learning centers for math, reading readiness, and fine motor skills
- Age-appropriate phonics and handwriting instruction
- Outdoor play and creative movement
- Structured routines that teach respect, responsibility, and classroom habits
What We Teach
Our curriculum is rooted in the A Beka program, offering a strong foundation in:
- Phonics and Pre-Reading Skills
- Basic Math and Number Concepts
- Bible Memory and Stories
- Language Development and Communication
- Social and Emotional Growth
- Fine and Gross Motor Skills
All instruction is Christ-centered, gentle, and tailored to early childhood development. Our goal is to help each child feel confident and capable as they begin their academic journey.
A Christ-Centered Environment
We know that young hearts are sensitive and impressionable. That’s why our Pre-K teachers are carefully chosen not only for their experience, but for their faith, warmth, and love for children.
Prayer, kindness, and character are part of the daily atmosphere. Parents often say they notice a difference in their children—how they speak, how they listen, how they love.
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds... Teach them to your children.
Time to Start?
Is Your Child Ready for Pre-K?
Our Pre-K is open to children who are 4 or 5 years old by September 15 of the enrollment year. If you’re unsure whether your child is ready, we’re happy to help guide you through the decision.
We encourage you to schedule a tour, meet the teacher, and see firsthand how your child could thrive here at Heritage!
